Robert August
Working in Jacobs’ Surf Shop in Hermosa Beach, August began shaping in 1966, not long before the shortboard revolution rendered the boards of the day obsolete. Nowadays, he even has his own Signature skate!

Whatcha Thinkin’?
I recieved my No Ka Oi in the mail a few weeks ago, and I must say I feel like a kid all over again. I set her up with some 215's, angled risers, swiss bones bearings, 65mm/85a Powell bombers, nose/tail bone, and a set of ribs (to protect the sexy graphic).
Today, I raged all day with her. She nose wheelies with style, manuals with ease, power slides with grace, and carves with soul. I then put her to the hill test and busted out some slide gloves and all I can say is we had blast! The No Ka Oi is my favorite new toy. Two thumbs WAY UP! ;)
